Many of us enjoy a drink now and then, often when socializing with friends and family. However, NHTSA is concerned about high-risk drinking because nearly one-third of all traffic fatalities involve impaired drivers:

• Impaired driving is often a symptom of a larger problem - alcohol misuse and abuse.
• About 11,000 people die in alcohol-impaired driving crashes each year - one every 48 minutes
