2012 National Survey of Bicyclist & Pedestrian Attitudes and Behavior
The 2012 National Survey of Bicyclist and Pedestrian Attitudes and Behavior was composed of a single questionnaire administered to a sample of randomly selected individuals 16 and older, with ages 16 through 39 over-sampled. The respondents were asked about their bicycling and walking activities, their attitudes concerning bicycling and walking, and how they perceived their communities in terms of adequacy of facilities and level of safety for bicycling and walking.
The survey was administered from July 12, 2012, to November 18, 2012. A total of 7,509 respondents completed the survey, including 5,297 landline interviews and 2,212 cell phone interviews.
An SPSS database file and a comma delimited database file are provided. For those database users who choose not to develop their own weights when working with the data, a Final Weight is included in the database files. The Final Weight has also been provided where it has been scaled to sample size.
