Whereas, Millions of children all over the nation walk to school everyday; and

Whereas, Each and every school day, thousands of dedicated individuals, whom we call Crossing Guards, spend countless hours assisting our children across busy streets and intersections as they arrive and depart from school; and

Whereas, We recognize the hard work and dedication of the many Crossing Guards that ensure a safe journey to and from school for millions of children every day; and

Whereas, We realize that Crossing Guards often encounter dangerous and hostile situations while diligently preforming their duties;
