It offers talking points for educators to use to teach parents, grandparents, and other caregivers about the most common types of child pedestrian crashes, and offers suggestions about how to prevent them. Filmed in the style of a telenovela, it offers a heartwarming and entertaining story of two children who sustain their special friendship despite unexpected circumstances. This fun and easy survey written in English and Spanish lets parents and kids "take a walk" to assess how "walkable" their neighborhoods are. After walking to school, the park, a friend's home, etc. the parent and child answer five questions about their walking environment. This two-sided flyer provides information to parents on pedestrian risks for preschool and elementary school children. One side gives information about the location, time, and other characteristics of many preschool pedestrian injuries. Some strategies are listed to show parents how they can prevent these injuries. The other side addresses some myths and facts that are important for parents of elementary school children to know.
