The Art of Appropriate EvaluationThe Art of Appropriate Evaluation

This guide is a primer to help communities evaluate their traffic safety programs. It is intended for people with little or no experience, explains why evaluation is necessary and guides the reader through the process. This guide is different from previous manuals, in that it does not try to teach statistics. Instead, it discusses how to identify a professional to help with the technical aspects of designing a useful study and running the appropriate statistical tests.
