Evaluation of Instructions 4 stars
The manual was attached to the restraint in a hard-to-find location when the restraint was removed from its packaging. In the manual, the section which details vehicle seat belt types does not provide complete information. The user must read text to route seatbelts correctly. Manual storage cannot be accessed when the CRS is installed in this mode of use.
Securing the Child 4 stars
The harness clip is not labeled to indicate its correct placement. The restraint uses a puzzle buckle that does not have an intermediate method of holding the two buckle tongues together. The harness must be rethreaded when reassembling after cleaning. When disassembling for cleaning, mandatory pieces to the restraint must be removed and could be misplaced.
Installation Features 5 stars
Push-button-style connectors are used as LATCH attachments. The belt positioning feature is easy to use, but the user may have to consult the owner's manual.
Overall Ease of Use Rating 4 stars
