Evaluation of Labels 3 stars
The belt routing path labeling is not contrasting and may be difficult to read. Labels do not explain the use of LATCH. Labels were peeling when the rated restraint was removed from the box.
Evaluation of Instructions 5 stars
The manual cannot be accessed while the restraint is installed in this mode. The manual could fall out of the carrier while in use outside of the vehicle, and there is no manual storage on the CRS base. The section describing vehicle seat belt types is incomplete and may be missing important information. The user may need to read text in order to route the LATCH belt properly.
Securing the Child 5 stars
Restraint assembly requires tools. The restraint uses a puzzle buckle that does not have an intermediate method of holding the two buckle tongues together. When disassembled for cleaning, mandatory parts of the restraint become detached and could be misplaced.
Installation Features 5 stars
No angle feedback device is present. The LATCH storage area is not clearly labeled.
