Physicians are permitted by law to report to the Drivers License and Traffic Safety Division in writing the name, date of birth, and address of any patient over the age of 14 whom they have reasonable cause to believe is incapable, due to physical or mental reason, of safely operating a motor vehicle. Physicians who in good faith make a report, give an opinion, make a recommendation, or participate in any proceeding pursuant to this law are immune from liability. Available.
