|Any physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas may inform the Department
of Public Safety. This release of information is an exception to the patient-physician privilege. There is no special reporting form; a letter from the physician will suffice.
The driver is notified in writing of the referral and required to provide medical information from his/her personal physician.
