CDC Seeks Pan Flu Workshop Participants

On March 9, 2009, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) posted a Request for Participation (RFP), for a Pandemic Influenza Planning Workshop for a Community Alternative Care System. This RFP seeks interested urban communities to apply as potential participants for a workshop sponsored by CDC.

The goal of the Pandemic Influenza Planning Workshop for a Community Alternative Care System is to advance planning towards a coordinated healthcare and public health response to an influenza pandemic in a large urban area. The workshop will provide an opportunity for partners to identify and address issues associated with alternative care in the community through facilitated discussion and activity. Interested parties should indicate their intent to apply by March 20, 2009 and completed applications are due April 20, 2009.
