Veronica Morales

Director, Communications

Veronica Morales, NHTSA’s Communications Director, leads the agency’s public affairs outreach in support of the agency’s mission to save lives and prevent injuries on our nation’s roads.

Morales has an extensive background in communications. She most recently worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as the communications director for the Committee on Financial Services. In this role, she helped develop communication strategies around key legislative priorities, including the Build Back Better Act. She also served as deputy communications director for the committee, where she managed communications activities around issues of fair housing, insurance, capital markets, credit reporting and lending. Previously, Morales worked in the private sector to develop dynamic communication strategies. 

Morales received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and American studies from Northwestern University.
