Dear Mr. Lima: This responds to your June 27, 1977, letter asking whether tires tha you export for use on agricultural vehicles are required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to be labeled with the letters DOT.; The answer to your question is no, unless the tires can also be used o vehicles other than agricultural vehicles.
