TEXT: Please find enclosed copies of letters concerning the legal implications of manufacturing and installing automotive auxiliary fuel tanks. In addition to the enclosed material, please note that a person who goes into the business of manufacturing motor vehicle equipment, such as auxiliary fuel tanks, is required to submit identifying information and a description of the items he produces to this agency in accord with 49 CFR Part 566 (copy enclosed).
