Heavy Truck Crashworthiness

This study analyzed truck driver injuries and fatalities in crashes of heavy trucks. It examined cab crashworthiness, regulations, and industry trends in truck occupant protection.

The goal is to (1) assemble information on truck driver casualties in crashes that help understand injury mechanisms and (2) review regulations and industry initiatives about reducing truck occupant fatalities and the severity of injuries.
