Dear Mr. Phelps: In response to your letter of May 12, 1967, regarding th classification of your Blue Bird Wanderlodge, I have enclosed a copy of the Initial Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. On page 2408 of this document, 'Bus' is defined as a motor vehicle with motive power, except a trailer, designed for carrying more than 10 persons. With the assumption that your Wanderlodge does have seating capacity for more than 10 people, it would therefore be classified as a bus.; Thank you for your interest in the motor vehicle safety program of thi Bureau.; Sincerely yours, George C.
