November 5, 2026
8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET

Despite technological and communication advances, millions of safety-recalled vehicles remain unrepaired. Building on NHTSA’s April 2026 report to Congress, Recalls Next brings together government, industry, and research leaders to boost recall completion rates.

The event will address consumer outreach, automated driving systems, over-the-air updates, state initiatives, and heavy-vehicle challenges. Through cross-sector collaboration, the event aims to turn innovative research into actionable solutions that increase repairs, prevent injuries, and save lives.

Join NHTSA for the Recalls Next: Technological Innovations & Safety Recalls public meeting on November 5, to help shape the future of vehicle safety recalls. Register to attend the summit in person by October 29. You'll receive a follow-up email November 2 with additional details.

More information is available in the Federal Register.
