Join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a live event at the Nashville Superspeedway in Tennessee to kick off the agency’s annual Speeding Catches Up With You campaign. 

While speed is celebrated on the track, it can have devastating consequences on our roads. This year’s launch brings together leaders in government, law enforcement and victim advocates to deliver a unified message: Speeding carries a cost that isn't worth racing against. 

Speakers will include: 

  • Jonathan Morrison, NHTSA Administrator
  • U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee
  • Captain James T. Williams, Traffic Division Commander, Metropolitan Nashville Police Department
  • Justin Marks, Trackhouse Racing owner and NASCAR guest driver
  • Brittany Leedham, Advocate 

NHTSA’s speed prevention campaign, Speeding Catches Up With You, begins on July 6 and runs through July 31, 2026.
